After many many playes DrDr's 'addicted' still sounds like the first time I played it which was always going to be hard to follow up, but their latest release proves that DrDr are here to stay. It puts the original to shame, with a powerful moving vocal, deep garage base and mesmorising melodies.  Got so much love for this song. 

Aaron Smith - Dancin (Remix by KRONO)

As soon as I hit play that pang of nostalgia hit me, a refreshing a remix of the 2005 dance track 'dancin'. Krono have slowed down the original vocal with a deep beating beating base and a chilled electronic flavor. This is one which you'll have stuck in your head for the rest of the day. 

Fabian Luttenberger - I Know

Fabian Luttenberger has to be one of the most underrated producers at the moment, I find myself on repeat after repeat on his soundcloud, it's just endless beauty. His latest track 'I know' is so soft and smooth, with a deep powerful vocal which hits you smack bang in the middle of the chest, accompanied by some dazzling sounds which you quite mesmorised. It's the perfect soundtrack to my Tuesday evening as I sit in the back garden stealing the last of the day sun while it creeps over the horizon. 

Chesus - Special

It seems that summer is finally upon us here in Britain (fingers crossed), the sun is out and it's starting to feel warm, after the past few months of poor weather I don't want anyone complaining about how hot it is. So procrastinating as ever I'm sat in the garden grooving along to the delights of Chesus, this is pure house at its very best which has been made for days like today. 

Naughty Boy feat. Sam Smith - La La La (Pále Remix)

20 minutes ago I was sat at my computer, books sprawled across the table, chewing the end of my pen in concentration as I attempt to write a university essay. However a brief lapse in concentration as ever led me to the Eton Messy youtube page and to the latest release of the Pale remix of 'la la la', hence I find myself sinking deep into my sofa sipping a chilled beer. This remix is utterly spellbinding, it's deep and mystical which sucks you into another world. The Sam Smith vocal (who you will recognise from Disclosure's 'latch') is rich with melencholy and emotion which is perfectly entwined with Pale instrumental, pure magic. Indulge yourself and sit back and grab a drink. 

Hot Natured featuring Anabel Englund - Reverse Skydiving (Shadow Child Remix)

Friday, Friday, Friday.. The weekend starts here and no better way to kick that off with a combo of Hot Natured and Shadow Child. A month or two back I posted the original track, 'skydiving' a sizzling sexy summer tune, and I'm sure I not alone in being rather surprised at Shadow Child putting his stamp on it. Those vocals become haunting and eerie which builds up into a big drop, that bass is pure gold, giving a dirty edge to the clean cut original. A very naughty remix.

 

RareBit - As Long As You

There is something special about these young underground producers, RareBit is a prime example, a 20 year old producer who has a very mature deep house sound with flavours of bass and soul. I've had his track 'As Long As You' on repeat for a few days now, it flows and grooves along smoothly with a warm vocal sample, one chilled track to kick back and relax to. Check out his track 'P.O.L', this guy is a real hidden gem. 

Skanky - 1 More Night

Allow me to introduce to you Skanky, a young producer with his debut track '1 more night', and this is something rather special. It's a delightful mix of house and garage entwined with a uplifting 90s feel, delicious soulful vocals and summer chords. Got this one blasting on my car stereo, shades on with the the warm evening sun chasing me. What more do you need!

Armeria - Wanting

So it's been one of the coldest Easters since records began, todays headline 'snow' and 'more snow', getting a little boring now isn't it, but us British do love to complain about the weather. Today seems like a turning point, the sun has decided to come out and with it a new Armeria song which seems to perfectly compliment the warm sun and blue skies. So crack open a chilled cider, sit back in the sun and take in the warmth of Armeria. The icing on the cake is that 'Wanting' is a free download.

Fion - Every Moment

My love for Fion was first sparked when I heard the iconic 'cognac', those Brandy vocals and that future garage sound caught me hook line and sinker. Over the past few months it's been hit after hit, 'counterfeit', 'get some' and 'back now' are just some of the greats, not to mention his collaborations with fellow Irishman and good friend Aaron Lipsett. Theres a real variety in different sounds to his music, house, garage and bass with an old school 90s flavour.

I find myself grooving along to his latest track 'every moment', it flows along and builds with some amplified synths, then the drop releases a bouncing bass and a classic Fion style 90s rhythm. I've been trying to put my finger on what makes Fion's sound so special, and quite simply it's just feel good music. 

Wilkinson - Take You Higher (Foamo Remix)

Easter is one of the best times of year for us British, Easter Bank Holiday, that's 3 days on the lash with no worries of work. It's day 2 which means that you're hungover, you still have that taste of vodka in the back of your throat and that feeling of regret in the morning as you turn to see what creature you pulled last night. But cast your worries away for today is a new day, Foamo's remix of 'take you higher' is the energy boost that your night needs, that drop gets me everytime. 

Toyboy & Robin - Jaded

Rising stars Toyboy and Robin deliver once again with their latest release 'jaded' hot off sound-cloud  Jaded is a fine work of art, a tight production with some stunning melodies, upbeat feel good house vibes, with an old school flavor, it just makes you want to hit the dance-floor. It has that instantly recognizable Toyboy and Robin sound. Release date on the 22nd on April, don't miss out. 

George Maple - Fixed (Maribou State Remix)

Its early, a bit too early, the sun is only beginning to rise and it feels like I'm the only one awake in this place. I gaze out my window at sheets of white which blanket the ground, it's quiet and still, however I cannot sleep. I turn to play 'Fixed' and I find my self utterly spellbound, it creates an intimate atmosphere with deep warm soulful vocals and a magical instrumental, it just makes you feel good. As one comment mentioned, I'm in the Maribou State of mind. 

Jonar LR - Cockiness

Cure those Monday blues with Jonas LR's latest release 'cockiness', it may be a Rihanna sample, but who gives a shit, I mind myself grooving along to 'I love it when you eat it'. Jonas' songs have a laidback fun feel, perfect for a monday evening, 'cockiness' grooves along with a good rhythm and that Rihanna sample gives a sexy edge to the track. Simply sweet and sexy. 

Wildchild - Renegade Master (AppleBottom POWER Bootleg)

Teenage Bristol boy Applebottom is the master of the old school house sound, I never know what he's going to conjure up next. Hot of soundcloud is hit latest remix of the classic 'reneagade master', an inevitably head-noddin tune which was born for the dancefloor, with an old school house sound and uplifting synths this has Applebottom's name all over it. He had previously released a snippet of this, but this full release is now available on a free download for you lucky people. If you're craving some more, check out a Disco Palace mix he did. 

Bonobo - Emkay

Picture the scenario, it's 4 in the morning and you've been raving all night, you finally get home with your mates, but what music do you put on? It's a dilemma that most of us face, we all have that mate who wants another line or some heavy bass music, but if you're like me you want something to unwind and chill to. At the moment I'm turning to Bonobo, he is a true master of his craft, creating intimate melodic sounds with creative electronic, bass and drums. 'emkay' has soulful and jazzy flavours to it, it's a song that you can just sit back and dream to. 

Jill Scott - Golden (Kaytranada's Life Living Edition)

Everything that Kayranada touches turns to gold, he's constantly relasing track after track of the best quality, does this guy ever rest. I had previously heard Catching Flies do a innovative remix of 'golden' blending the vocals beautifully, but Kaytranada keeps that warm soulful feel of the original with some groovy bass. Look out for a Boiler room set he's going to do in Los Angeles with the likes of Sweater Beats and TA-KU in a few days time, going to be big!

R Kelly - Bump n Grind (Waze & Odyssey Mix)

I was just listening to Bondax at a pool party at WMC when Waze & Oddsey's remix of 'bump and grind' was dropped, I had previously heard Eton Messy drop it in one of their sets, and boy does it go down well live. I feel myself noddin and moving along to the beat without even realising what I'm doing, 'bump and grind' has that perfect mixture of garage and house vibes with an old school flavour. Make sure you turn this one up. 

Notize - All You Had

Some days I find myself endlessly searching for that one song, scrolling through countless youtube,soundcloud and blog pages, but then i find it, that one song which just hits the spot. Notize has been on my radar for a while now, this teenager has a talent at producing some stunning deep minimalist house tracks, I've had his latest track 'all you had' on repeat after repeat since I first heard it. It's one of those late night songs which seems to perfectly fit my mood. As with most of Notize's tracks, it's on a free download.
